Hey guys? How are you? How's your week going? Today I'm trying something new. Apparently a lot of guys read my blog or at least they check out the pictures, so I decided to post something for them. I've seen the struggle they have to go through when they have to get ready, they don't know what to wear or they have no idea about what's going on in the world of men's fashion. I asked my drop dead handsome brother, Leonardo, to help me out and since he got me started into this he really had no choice. So I really hope you guys find it helpful and inspiring.
I wanted to start with something you'll probably have to deal with for the rest of your life, the work attire. The tricky thing is that it really depends on where you work or what kind of job you have. If you are a business man you'll have to wear a suit and a tie but for example my brother has to look neat but he can go for something more casual. So if you want to dress to impress keep it simple. If you are not sure about which colors to combine or what goes with what, keep it simple. These tips not only apply to work attire but to everything you do in life.
Matching 101:
If you have no idea about men's fashion, this is for you! First of all, WORK WITH THE SAME COLOR PALETTE. I'm not saying everything should be the same color or shade but try keeping it in the family. Of course you can wear contrasting colors but don't go all loco in your combination. Choose if you are going to wear black OR brown, not both (we'll talk about this in another post). Match your belt with your shoes and your watch. The socks shouldn't cause a shock in between your pants and shoes, it's all about creating a visual transition between your trousers and your shoes. In other words, match your socks with your shoes. This gives you the opportunity to buy colorful and fun socks as long as they complement both. A wardrobe must is a pair of slim chinos. These khaki trousers work really well with every color and they give you that fresh business casual look. It's really REALLY hard to go wrong with a white shirt. You can always rely on a white shirt and trust me, it will never ever let you down. One thing I'm really digging right now are the elbow patches, they are the trendiest thing going on. I know right, your grandpa is suddenly cool again. Guess we should thank Macklemore! What you should keep in mind is that small details make the difference and I would even say they make a statement.
So guys don't be afraid to be fashion, we (girls) LOVE IT when a guy knows how to dress. Are you going to give it a try? Please say yes! Hola! Que tal? Como va su semana? Hoy estoy probando algo nuevo! Aparentemente bastantes chicos se meten a mi blog, no se si lo leen pero por lo menos ven las fotos así que decidí hacer algo para ellos. He visto que bastantes hombres sufren a la hora de arreglarse, no saben que ponerse o que esta pasando en el mundo de la moda masculina. Le pedí ayuda a mi hermano súper guapo, Leonardo, y ya que el me metió en esto no le quedo opción. Así que espero que los ayude e inspire!
Quería empezar con algo con lo que probablemente lidiarán por el resto de su vida, el look de oficina. Esto es un poco complicado por que depende mucho de donde trabajes y de que tipo de trabajo tienes. Si eres un hombre de negocios deberás usar saco y corbata pero por ejemplo mi hermano tiene que verse presentable pero puede optar por un look más casual. Así que si quieren verse bien, mantengan su look simple. Si no saben que colores combinan o que va con que, sean simples. Estos consejos no sólo aplican para el look de oficina si no para todos sus looks y todo lo que hagan en la vida de ahora en adelante.
Matching 101:
Si no tienes idea de nada con respecto a ropa y combinaciones esto es para ti. Primero que todo, trabajen con la misma paleta de colores. No digo que todo tiene que ser del mismo color o del mismo tono pero traten de usar colores de la misma familia. Obvio que pueden combinar colores que hagan contraste pero no se aloquen al combinar. Escojan si van a utilizar negro o café, pero no los dos (en posts más adelante les hablare sobre que colores combinar con cada uno). Combinen su cincho con sus zapatos y su reloj. Los calcetines no deberían de crear un shock entre su pantalón y sus zapatos, todo esta en crear esa transición de color entre ellos. En otras palabras, combinen sus calcetines con sus zapatos. Esto les da la oportunidad de comprar calcetines divertidos y coloridos, sólo recuerden que tienen que complementar sus zapatos y su pantalón. Algo que todo hombre debería de tener es un pantalón khaki de corte slim. Estos pantalones se ven bien con cualquier color y les da ese toque de frescura, así hombre de negocios casual. Es bastante BASTANTE difícil quedar mal con una camisa blanca. Siempre pueden optar por la camisa blanca y nunca les va a quedar mal, créanme. Algo que me encanta son los parches de los codos, están en todo! Yo se, de la nada tu abuelo vuelve a ser cool. Creo que podríamos agradecer a Macklemore por eso un poco. Algo que deben de tener en cuenta es que los pequeños detalles hacen la diferencia (tanto en la ropa como en la vida amorosa) y son ellos los que los harán a resaltar.
Entonces chicos, que no les de pena quererse vestir bien o verse fashion. A nosotras NOS ENCANTA cuando un chavo sabe vestirse bien. Pondrán en uso estos consejos? Por favor digan que si!!
