Bisou Bisou

Kiss me through the phone.. Six seven eight triple nine eight two one two..

For some weird reason, this song was all I could think of when I was writing this post. Hey guys! How was your weekend? Ready for a new week? Hope you are 'cause it's happening anyway. I don't know if you guys have noticed but most of the time my outfits on Mondays are kinda chilled, laid back, relaxed. I like starting my week with something I really love like today's shoes and shirt so that I'm excited for Mondays and it really works. Today I'm wearing a beautiful blouse full of kisses (hope they are from love and not lust). When I saw it for the first time it was love at first sight. I love the unusual print, so creative and bold. Paired it up with some super tight dark blue skinnies so my outfit is balanced, not to loose not to tight. One of my rules is that if you are wearing something super tight wear something loose or vice versa. Sometimes loose-loose or tight-tight looks fine too but I like a well-balanced outfit. And for the cherry on top my precious Steve Madden wedges. I bought this shoes without telling my momma 'cause I needed them, there was no time to be asking for permission. They are so colorful, so Guatemalan, so comfortable.. Love them. Perfect to be running errands, to go out on a date.. Just perfect. Like I told you in my last post I've been mixing prints so my outfit looks fun and different. I think it looks fresh, fun and chic, don't you? I'm also wearing a purse in brandy a chain necklace in mint and details in gold. Simple huh? What do you think? Have a great Monday guys! Dying to hear from all of you! Bisou Bisou, Sophie.

Keep it all in the family.

Hey guys! What's up? I'm so glad it's Friday already. TGIF right? What are your plans for tonight? Today I wanna talk to you about mixing prints. It's like the trendiest thing right now. At first I was a little bit unsure, but I've grown really fond of it. The best thing about this is that it gives you the opportunity to be as saucy as possible. My advice for you is to give it a try. You won't regret it. It's like having a new wardrobe. Today's tip is:

KEEP IT ALL IN THE FAMILY.

What do I mean by that? Color families. You don't want your outfit to look messy and painful, right? So, for your look to work try using colors that belong to the same "family". Of course you can combine colors that contrast, don't get me wrong, but if you are still unsure about this play it safe. You don't have to use the same shade, just pick a central color palette so your prints can blend in easier. Another thing you can do is to make sure that at least one color is repeated in every piece of the outfit. The look I'm suggesting today mixes leopard and flowers, the blouse and skirt keep the same color combo (neutral all over the place). Using similar colors makes it subtle and it looks like the prints belong together. The colors repeat themselves throughout the entire ensemble and the outfit looks unified and chic instead of plain weird. Also, I tied my blouse in a knot so it looked different and crop top-ish. I'm kinda bored of tucking my blouse in, it's so bleh.. I'm wearing a pair of black strappy sandals and a black purse. Simple details so my outfit doesn't look overloaded. So, what do you think? Are you willing to give it a try? Would you go for something bolder? Dying to hear from all of you guys and I really hope you give it a try. Have a great weekend, have fun, be safe and wish your momma a happy Mother's Day! Xoxo, Sophie.

Flowers & Ruffles

Hey guys! What's up? How's your week going? I'm really amazed, time is just flying by. It's Wednesday already! I'm trying to go international here so from now on I think I'm gonna write in English.. Do you agree? I really don't know if you guys read all the crap I write but I enjoy writing so I ain't giving up on that. Lately, I think we've all been like: "what's up with the crazy weather bro?" 'Cause seriously we've had it all! Cold days, rainy days, sunny days, windy days.. you name it! So it has been kind of tricky 'cause you never know what's going to happen later, if it's going to rain.. Or nah. Despite of the weather, today I feel like flowers and ruffles. Don't you love flowers and ruffles? They're so girly, I love girly things. Sometimes I can be perceived as a tomboy 'cause of my personality but I just love clothes and shoes and pink stuff. Well, today I'm wearing a short dress in burgundy paired up with a denim vest. I just love how a simple piece like a denim vest or a denim shirt can change your whole outfit. What I love the most is that it gives the outfit this super fresh, no problem, rebel kind of look. How awesome is that? I added a statement necklace in pastel, powder blue, 'cause that's what's in. Also, the shoes I'm wearing are kind of my favorite. I bought this pair of booties maybe like three years ago and they are as good as new. This color, cognac, looks so good with almost every other color so you can basically wear it whenever you want. The purse is a cross body purse in a similar color. Really simple. Whatcha think? Would you wear it? What do you think about me writing in English? Is it weird? Let me know! Dying to hear from all of you guys! Hope you enjoyed and liked it! Xoxo, Sophie.

Baby Blue Bubble Necklace & White Lace

Hola! No creen?

Me cuentan! -Sophie
